What an inspiring story. I loved it! We have a loving Heavenly Father to pray to for help and guidance and our brother, Jesus Christ. They are always there to help us in all our trials. All we need to do is ASK. We all make mistakes and through repentance and forgiveness we can have a second chance. We need the Savior in our lives.
I was somewhat personally acquainted with this story as it happened. I remember the heart renching time Cleo and her family went through as this terrible accident unfolded. Her description of miracle of the recovery, both of the body and the spirit are magnificant and inspiring. I congratulate her for having the courage to write this great book. It is a very well written book and is one you have to read without putting down once you start.
When we first received a copy of this book, we read it cover to cover non-stop. Any parent of a child who has gone astray or who has watched a child suffer will relate to the pain of this mother from her son's drug involvement, horrible injury, and the long slow recovery. We found the tale fascinating and were totally involved in the anguish, grief, faith, and eventual blessing of recovery. We expect it will provide a spiritual uplift to all who read it. It's a true story; we know the mother and we have met the son who received this second chance.
At the time I received this book as a gift from a very dear friend I was having a very difficult time in my life. I was approaching my 85th birthday and had really been wondering if I was going to make it as I was so ill and just out of the hospital. The day the mail came and the book was there I started to read it as I lay in my sick bed, depressed and down. Each page of the book caused me to look on my problem which had nothing to do with what I was reading. I could not put the book down, I wanted to read more and as the account was told of this miracle I started to have a miracle of my own. I was getting up and wanted to get my life back. The faith of the mother was the miracle that happened in this book. It helped me recover and I am now back to normal because of a great read. Thank you Cleo for writing it and helping so many people.
